MOVE TEXAS | SOCIAL IMPACT CAMPAIGN

Social, Merchandise, Website

When you think about voter pride, you think of the “I Voted” sticker — a small token that’s become a piece of social currency on social media. It’s proof that they care enough to get out there and vote.

But what about the crucial step that comes before voting? In 2018, 57% of young Texans eligible to vote weren’t even registered. So to push as many young voters to the polls as possible in 2020, we knew we had to make registering to vote just as big of a deal as actually voting.

We took over the registered symbol (®) and turned into a badge of honor for registered voters.

RESULTS

The campaign resulted in a 227% boost in voter registrations on Move’s website, over 20 million views of our GIPHY stickers, and the client threatening to get a tattoo of the creative.

flaunt your ®egistration

We started by getting people fired up about their registration, encouraging them to rock the ® on their Instagram profiles as a display of pride and a public reminder for others to stop putting it off and just register already.

merchandise site, for registered voters only

After we took social by storm, we made a site full of gear to help people flaunt their registration in real life. The one catch? You could only enter the site if you were registered.
